Recovery Unplugged located in Annandale, Virginia is seeking a full-time maintenance technician.

The Maintenance Tech performs routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures to the client housing, mechanical equipment, and utility systems. Maintenance Tech assist the Operations and Implementation Manager with additional duties when needed.

• Performs minor and major repairs to all buildings and equipment such as: functionality of all doors/windows, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting for HVAC systems (changing filters/bearings), identify and repair plumbing fixtures or clogs in drains.
• Performs preventative maintenance procedures on company vehicles on a scheduled basis; inspects belts, checks fluid levels, oil changes, replaces filters, and takes the vehicle to get safety & emission inspections.
• Assists with renovation/remodeling of buildings, parts, and painting
• Maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures
• Performs outside custodial duties such as: picking up litter from the yards, mowing lawn, blowing/raking leaves, snow removal, salting ice-prone walkways.
• Maintains and adheres to all policy and procedures respecting confidentiality of client’s rights, anonymity, communication either written or verbal regarding client’s identity and situation
• Communicate clearly with supervisors and coworkers
• Follow all policies of Agency as applicable
• Perform maintenance of electrical systems (Perform minor troubleshooting and repairs; replace light bulbs, ballasts, and fuses. etc.)
• Maintains assigned vehicle, tools, and equipment for the purpose of ensuring availability in safe operating condition.
• Perform assigned responsibilities, duties, and tasks according to established practices, procedures, techniques, and standards in a safe manner with minimal supervision.
• Responds to 24-hour emergency calls for maintenance requests, as required
• Assist with moving, loading, unloading supplies, furniture, and equipment.

Requirements:

• Position requires work in a both non-temperature and temperature-controlled environments; 50% of the time spent outdoors.
• Work in an environment treating mental health clients.
• Work in an environment where clients are angry and rude sometimes.
• Ability to be on call, which may require irregular hours.
• Employee is required to drive, lift and load
• Speak functional English
• Carry 10-15 pounds

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 per hour
